We intend the information in this site – sample legal language, commentary, case
studies, sample term sheets – to inform investors, entrepreneurs, and other social
impact professionals involved in impact investing. But this site is not legal advice, and
none of the content should be used verbatim or in any way without help from a lawyer.
Use this site to peruse different innovations that have been tried, to see examples of
specific deals and term sheets, and even to find model legal provisions to inspire your
deals, lawyers, and legal documents. But don’t copy content indiscriminately, or use
information without professional legal advice: our goal is to be comprehensive, so not all
of the innovations we document are useful, and no innovation is always appropriate.
